Your Reflection Studio were asked to pop in and look at improving the images they already had for the their website - we ended up reshooting the whole place: from an hilarious shoot of the family cooking a very hearty breakfast to capturing guests at dinner.  Then there were the surroundings – the brilliant blue skies,  clear of cloud (having driven through a blizzard in Kyle to get there!!) for the frontage, the bedrooms and function rooms.

Nestled deep in the quiet countryside, centrally based for both east coast and west coast exploring, the Kiltarlity Lodge complex offers a perfect base for the family.  Children amenities include an indoor swimming pool, the lodges themselves are large and modern inside.   A great place to have a family holiday.  Your Reflection Stuido were asked to shoot both the lodges and the activities of the swimming pool and playground.  We have quite a large 'lodge' client base - the approach is different to our usual hotel or holiday home technique as much of the space is open plan.  So its matter of 'carving the room up' to produce a series of different view.

Up in the very far north west coast of the Highlands is a place called Kylesku - remote, perhaps one of the remaining wildernesses in the British Isle - just south of Sandalwood Bay, Old Man of Stor, Cape Wrath and the very 'north' edge coast-line.  It is famous for a bridge that spans the loch and for its fresh sea food landed in the loch just to the left of the Hotel - the Kylesku Hotel.  This with bar, fantastic restaurant and very comfortable bedrooms has become an important stopping place for travellers exploring this quiet corner of Scotland. Your Reflection Studio was asked to shoot key rooms and the restaurant menu, following considerable investments and changes by the owners.  We also provided landscape images for use in their new website project.

Just to let all our clients know we have uploaded a new series of images of key tourist attractions for the region for use on their websites.  Our image store can be found here and is part of a long-term upload programme - yes, we're still uploading slowly as we have around 20,000 images of landscape and wildlife to upload - a little bit each day, as we're so busy with the commercial work.  All images are avialable to clients at just £25, so don't forget to have a look if you want to bring your website to life.

We often get asked directly or through the clients of estate agents to photograph their property for sales particulars.  This has led us to work with Bell Ingram, Bidwells and smaller solicitor groups through the Highland region.  They contact us principally when the property is of high value - Your Reflection Studio, adding additional value to their client service package.  We provide the images they need for the on line brochure / particulars creation software.  Hamilton Watt, approached YRS to take images of a property owned by an Inverness footballer, who was moving house.  We provided both images of the property and lifestyle shots to bring the living space to life.

Dromnan Guest House

Ullapool is a busy destination for anyone exploring the Isles of Scotland thanks to its ferry port.  As a harbour town it is idyllic, a gentle crescent shape frontage lined with small houses painted white, shops and fine restaurants or bars.  Quite the place to 'moor-up' after a busy day walking in the Assynt region just 30 minutes drive away.  Dromnan Guest House, a little out of the busy part of town has access to the beach from its garden, views the length of Loch Broom and a standard and service to its guests second to non.  Large rooms with excellent facilities and a huge dinning room with, yes, great views over the loch.  A great place to stay if you'd prefer a quieter side to Ullapool in high season.  Your Reflection Studio were asked to re-shoot the business, as major redecoration had taken place.  These images were to be added to a new website being designed locally for them.

Your Reflection Studio was commissioned by the then owners of the Inverglen Bed & Breakfast, following a recommendation by An Grianan which is close by.  They were selling their property, as-well-as contuning to run it as a fully operating bed and breakfast.  Our task - to provide images that both sold the business to guests and to propespctive buyers.  These images were to be used by their agent ASG (Inverness) and also on a new - refreshed website created by NESS Seo.

Another from a select group of guest houses in Inverness that put exceptional standards before everything else.  The city is lucky in that it attracts this form of owner, probably because of its fine architecture in the 'old parts' of town, with the large villas accommodating style and charm from a contemporary feel through to a period long gone.  Glenuig, manages to do both!  Fine linen on beds, hand made cushion covers and a garden to relax in that is bursting in colour come Spring.  Nicely hidden to the back of Inverness River Ness frontage, you still have simple access to the city centre with no more than 10 minutes stroll walking, yet far enough away to give you peace and quiet to relax.

Cannich is on the edge of one of Scotland's finest natural history treasures - Glen Affric, with trees hundreds of years old, wild boar supposedly roving around the woodland and three key Munros to climb.  All this from one place.  Not far from this, on the route from Drumnadrochit is the Glenuruart hotel with its family accommodation and restaurant making it a fine place to stay and explore this quiet back water in the Inverness and Loch Ness region.  Your Reflection Studio were asked to re-shoot the bedrooms as these had recently been re-decorated for their website and the grounds over looking the loch.

If you're into wildlife then Findhorn, a village with a huge estuary on the Moray coast is the place you should have on you 'ideal places to visit'.  A quiet little harbour village, with restaurants and pubs, cafe and bakery - you've got just about everything you want from a single place to stay.  Your Reflection Studio was asked to shoot the interior of the apartment, which is partly made up by circular tower.  Modern facilities abound and the view out to sea hypnotic.

Imagine sitting in a custome built beach house, the sea no more than 80 feet from the 47 feet long glass wall overlooking the Mellon Udrigle bay.  To then see sea otters come out and play on the beach and decking in front of you... OK, sold it enough!

A fantastic remote place for anyone who needs to cleanse modern life from themselves.  Your Reflection Studio were asked one thing - to capture the view from the glass frontage outwards - quite a challenge on a very sunny, blue sky day - dark rrom to bright outside light and no use of flash!  We also went on in the shoot to prepare images of all the rooms and facilities on offer, in the fantastic holiday accommodation.

Ever fancied fresh lobster on holiday?  Perhaps prawns? Or what about crab?  Well that's part of the package with this holiday home run by Lorna and Derrick.  The views are to die for, the comforts exceptional and yes, Derrick a local fisherman, runs his food sale business down the drive about 50 meters from the cottage - so there's no excuse not to try fresh produce every day.
Your Reflection Studio were given the task of interior images and capturing the exterior views.  The interior in February is no problem - with the west coast weather, well a good blue sky is a challenge most times.  So we got a few views from the window when a patch arrived and we kept going back until the blue sky shot was achieved.  We gave Lorna this 'arty' shot as a temproary fix for her website!

We know hotels have a heavy agenda throughout the year and sometimes covering this with a photographer is too expensive for the owners of the hotel.  Coverage would, however, be very useful for them in PR terms, as-well-as a range of images for their website.  So we created Your Reflection Studio's 'Hotel Flexi' package, which offers a series of on site hours for a fixed price and the owner of the hotel can simply arrange that we turn-up to cover a brief of their choice - because it's all agreed in advance the cost is significantly reduced if compared to ad-hoc call out rates. 

The Coul House, a stunning country house nearly 200 years old, recognised this and we completely re shot the fabric of the hotel - rooms and landscape - and are now shooting the menu.  From here on summer events will then be covered.  A simple way for the hotel owner to cover the event of the year from redecoration to business conferences.

A first for Your Reflection Studio - photography services for a static holiday caravan park.  Quite exclusive, with huge caravans and lots of manicured lawns over looking the Beauly Firth on the edge of Inverness and Kessock, this was a commission to bring out the best in the parks considerable new investment in new designs and home comforts.  A great family destination as beech, woodland and Inverness city centre are all within a few minutes reach.

Originally, Your Reflection Studio were asked by Build It Magazine to go and shoot this recently refurbished old croft, high up in the hills at Helmsdale in Caithness, as it was being lived in by the owner and builder who did the work.  A very high standard was evident throughout the building, as was the effort to maintain its original design and feel - some 150 years ago.  It's now a holiday cottage and a great place to stay if you want to explore the far northern reaches of the British Isles.  To see more of our work with holiday cottages why not have a look at our website www.your-reflection.co.uk

Dornoch is a small country town on the sea's edge, just past a vaste Firth on the east side of the Highland region.  Sandstone, fine dressed buildings, a historic gael, witches burning stone and even a golf course of some repute, are just some of the attractions in stall for the visitor. 

To add to this, you have  the Bank House to stay in, with its exceptional furnishings, quiet surroundings and access to fine food restuarants, yards down the main street. Not an easy subject this one!  Your Reflection Studio were asked to do a shoot of a plantation - after the tree harveters had been - as the forest land, then owned by the Forestry Commission, was to be put up for sale.  Access points were to be photographed as well as any young tree plantations that remained to show potential and future investment opportunities for the buyer.

Your Reflection Studio was asked to provide images for particulars and sales documents by Bidwells, the managers of the Forse Estate, which was being sold by them on behalf of a client.  The Caithness Estate was a mixture of land, agirultural buildings, fishery and estate houses plus tenant farms.  YRS conducted a full shoot of the Estate both interior and exterior and including landscapes.
